Grain Handler

Following the successful harvest of CoverCress grain, specified grain handlers will collect, condition, and store the grain. Grain handlers will also be responsible for confirming the volume of grain delivered by the farmer and making the grain delivery to the end-use customer. Following the delivery to the grain handler, the farmer will be paid by CCI.

Customers

CCI's attractive market opportunities for the CoverCress crop include animal feed and the renewable diesel and sustainable aviation fuel market. CCI will first focus on leveraging the oil content of our whole grain as the energy component in feed for the production of broiler chickens, starting in 2024. Ultimately, the highest value market will result from crushing CoverCress grain, extracting low carbon intensity of CoverCress oil as a feedstock to produce renewable fuels, and utilizing the high-protein meal as animal feed.
